Learning Objectives
CE09 - Perform, present and defend before a university tribunal an original exercise performed individually, consisting of a comprehensive study or project in the field of environmental engineering, in which the skills acquired in the lessons are synthesized by adopting the advances and developments in this field and many innovative ideas. Acquire the knowledge, capacity development and preliminary practice to carry out research projects or specialty in one of the branches of Environmental Engineering. It is awareness of the importance of studying in depth and rigor the underlying problem, considering all plausible alternatives for the same, to analyze and decide which is the optimal and develop completely. Meet more of the fields of specific knowledge of their work in the context of the master general and specific subjects. Focuses raises and develops properly and efficiently a new topic including all stages (background, analysis, synthesis, discussion, writing and defense). Consolidates basic methodological knowledge to develop work and research projects or development in the field of Environmental Engineering. Making presentation and defense before a court of a university original exercise conducted individually, consisting of a comprehensive study or project in the field of Environmental Engineering, in which the skills acquired in the lessons are synthesized by adopting the advances and developments in this field and many innovative ideas. Completion, presentation and defense before a committee of an original work performed individually, consisting of a comprehensive study or project in the field of Environmental Engineering, which will synthesize the skills acquired in education, adopting advances and developments in this field and contributing with new ideas. Acquiring knowledge, capacity development and practice to carry out research or professional projects in any of the branches of Environmental Engineering. Awareness of the importance of studying in depth and rigor the problem, considering all reasonable alternatives, analyzing and deciding which is the best way to develop and complete. Delves into the realm of specific knowledge of their work in the context of general and specific matters. Focuses on and develops appropriate and efficient new topics, including all stages (background, analysis, synthesis discussion, writing and defense). Teaching Methodology
The work is individual. Each student is assigned one or more directors who oversee the work through regular meetings with the student. The directors suggest a bibliography of reference.
Grading Rules
The evaluation calendar and grading rules will be approved before the start of the course.
The rating will be obtained from the public act of presentation. The committee will have access to a written document in accordance with the rules and the established periods. The committee will consider the content and formal aspects of the written and oral presentation, and the answers from the student to the questions raised by the committee. The members of the committee will evaluate the work covering all these aspects. The court may put a note by consensus or each member put his proposal note. The latter will be the arithmetic average rating (rounded) of the three notes.
Test Rules
If the student is not present on the day and time allocated for his/her defense, he/she will be evaluated with a rating of not presented (NP).
