Completion of a final degree project in the field of marine sciences and technologies of a professional nature where the skills acquired in the courses are synthesized and integrated.
Specific Objectives
It is a research work that promotes both an advance in knowledge and human and sustainable development, with a theoretical, qualitative or experimental, practical and quantitative approach in the context of the sciences and technologies of the sea, in any of the its branches: biology (biotechnology), geology, chemistry, physics, engineering, environmental or technological. It is recommended to follow a common line in the research works, which is: i) Introduction, where a hypothesis is proposed (provisional explanation or statement that expresses affirmations or denials about reality), the setting of generic and specific objectives generally raised from the hypothesis ii) Description of the study area, where the most important characteristics of the area where the study is carried out will be highlighted iii) Methodology, where the work plan or scheme to be followed to achieve the proposed objectives will be detailed, the data collected or compiled, and data processing techniques. iv) Results, where the results obtained will be explained as well as their interpretation v) Discussion, where the results will be debated depending on the techniques used and their relationship with the proposed hypothesis, the objectives and the theoretical framework considered. vi) Conclusions and proposals for future research, where the conclusion of the results obtained and proposals to continue and research in the future will be addressed, based on the discussions and conclusions obtained. vii) Bibliography The thesis defense can only be carried out when the student has passed all the subjects of the Degree and proves to have achieved the required skills. For this reason, it is recommended to register in the course in which you are certain that you will be defending, otherwise you will have to repeat the registration.
